The Reclamation Year

A year-long program for the executive who just stepped out of a role

For the three to six months after you sell the company, leave the job, or walk away — before the next title is decided, before vitality gets buried under a new set of demands.

The window

You have a window most people never get.

Leaving a role — by choice, by sale, or by circumstance — opens three to six months where there's nowhere you have to be. Most people rush through it straight into the next thing. This program treats it as the raw material for the year, not empty time to fill.

Rushed

Skip the gap

Take the next offer fast, carry the same posture, the same atrophy, into the next role. The vitality stays buried.

Reclaimed

Use the gap

Walk, process, remember who you were before the job took up all the room. Build the next chapter on that ground instead.

The year

Four phases, one continuous thread.

Each phase builds the material the next one works with — we don't rush the reclamation to get to the vision, and we don't stop at the vision without living it out.

Roughly the first three months

Reclamation

No agenda beyond getting back in tune with yourself. Walks and hikes, saying things out loud, going through old memories — reclaiming the parts of you that weren't allowed to show up at work.

One dedicated working session

The vision session

Not a vision board — a set of honest reminders of who you are and what you want to build. We revisit your core values, what living them looks like as a spouse, parent, and leader, and name what you want more of, in specific and vivid detail.

  • Core values, examined and adjusted where they've drifted
  • What those values look like lived out at home and as a leader
  • The activities and relationships worth building consciously around
The remaining months

Integration

Regular coaching to embody what came out of the vision session. We build plans, run small experiments, and check in on how they actually feel, not just how they look on paper. Some of this work happens through movement sessions, including bodywork — the body carries a story the mind is still catching up to.

Year-end workshop

The return

We look at what actually played out, review the return on where you spent your year, and rebuild the vision for what comes next — bigger stretch, wider dream. Then we go again.
